各位同學，您好：
依據「中山大學學士班學生英文能力培育要點」第三條之規定，
同學須參加本校舉辦之「114學年度第一學期學士班英文分級測驗」，以確定您的英文分級，未參加本測驗者，一律分為英文初級。
但是！

由於本次辦理英文分級測驗之場地緣故，故容納人數有限！！！
建議同學若確認自己無法在規定的時間到考，但本身具備校外英檢成績單(2年內有效期限)，
建議可於2025年9月10日(加退選二)之前，至全英語卓越教學中心申請『英文分級變更』，
如此一來，同學可以自行選擇不參與「114學年度第一學期學士班英文分級測驗」。
※另外補充說明：
若同學於2025年9月8日星期一舉行的英文分級測驗以前，
已經辦理過「英文分級變更」或是「通識英文抵免」，則不需要參與本次英文分級測驗！！！

測驗詳細考試時間及規定如下：
一、 若您的國籍為英語系國家(英國、美國、加拿大、澳洲、紐西蘭、愛爾蘭、南非等以英語為母語之國家)，無需參加本測驗，請備妥護照及中學(含)以上成績單至本中心填寫申請表提出免修申請。
二、考試時間：114年9月8日（星期一）下午16:20–17:35
三、考試教室：綜合大樓 GE4016教室
四、考試內容：英文聽力+英文閱讀測驗。
五、考試規定：
1.請務必攜帶學生證或其他附照片之個人身分證件（身分證、駕照、僑外生可攜帶護照或居留證）以及2B鉛筆、藍色或黑色原子筆、橡皮擦應試。
2.考試開始後，考生不得提前繳卷離場。
六、查詢分級結果：
1.請於114年9月9日（星期二）至西灣學院〈最新消息〉及學生選課系統〈英文分級查詢〉查詢英文分級結果。
2.請於加退選二階段：114/9/10–9/11，依分級結果自行登記加選課程。

1.尚未修習任何一門通識英文課程前可申請變更。
2.多益550分→變更成中級
3.多益600分→變更成中高級
4.多益700分→變更成高級

Note: For new students, such as special selections, overseas Chinese students, or transfer students, which are not through the General Scholastic Ability Test (GSAT) or Advanced Subjects Test (AST).
***In accordance with Article 3 of the "Key Points for Cultivating English Ability of Students at Sun Yat-Sen University's Undergraduate Programs”, Students must take the "114 Academic Year 1st Semester English Grading Test for Undergraduate Classes" held by our school to determine your English grade. Those who do not take this test will be classified as basic level.

Due to venue limitations for this English Placement Test, the number of participants will be restricted.
If you are unable to attend the placement test as scheduled but already hold a valid English proficiency test score report (within the past 2 years),
please apply for “English Placement Adjustment” at the Center for EMI Excellence by September 10th, 2025 (second course add/drop period).
Eligible students may then choose not to participate in the English Grading Test for Undergraduate Students, Fall Semester 2025.

If you have already completed the process of “English Placement Adjustment”or“Exemption from General English Courses” before the English Grading Test on Monday, September 8th, 2025, you are not required to participate in this placement test.
***The detailed examination time and regulations are as follows:
1. Overseas students from English-speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, etc, whose native language is English, do not need to take this test. Please prepare both your passport and high school transcripts to the 10th floor at Si Wan College (Library) to submit an exemption application form.
2. Examination time: September 8th, 2025 (Monday) 16:20–17:35 pm
3. Examination classroom: Classroom GE4016, 4F, General Building
4. Examination content: English listening comprehension + English reading test.
5. Examination regulations:
A. Please be sure to bring your student ID card or other personal identification documents with a photo (ID card, driver's license, passport or residence permit for overseas students), 2B pencil, blue or black ballpoint pen, and eraser to take the test.
B. Candidates are not allowed to submit the answer sheet earlier and leave the test room in advance after the start of the test.
6. Query the grading results:
A. Please visit our website at:https://siwan.nsysu.edu.tw/p/403-1029-5578-1.php?Lang=zh-tw to check the results, you will find it at <Latest News>. Or visit the student course selection system, the test result will be under <English Grading Inquiry> on September 9th, 2025 (Tuesday).
B. Please register for the second stage of addition and withdrawal: 2025/9/10–9/11, and register for additional courses by yourself according to the grading results.
You must submit supporting documents (passport and transcripts from high school (including) and above) to apply for exemption.
